Risk Pays Off

Another tune produced by Marshall and featuring session players Warwick Fraser (Screaming Tribesmen) on drums, local singer Veronika Lawson backing Vocals and our very own Andrew Beck on Bass as well as engineering. Even though none of them had heard the song previously, the whole idea of keeping it fresh and spontaneous worked a treat and the song was fully recorded in the day. Kaijin nailed his vocals on one of the U87’s and guitar was mic’d with a Royer121 and Sennheiser M409.

Risk pays off, a drummer I’ve never met, a bass player I’ve never met, a singer who’s never been in the studio with me, and then there was this guy in a cap with a Hoodoo gurus T-Shirt! Magic happens.
