Thundastar Mixing and Reamping

The final session for Thudastar last month was OTB (Out of The Box) mixing through the SSL.

All 12 songs were completed over 2 half day sessions with Marshall Cullen on the board and Murray Dilger on Tools.

Some reamping was required as well and that ran simultaneously with the mix but recorded as well for safety.

So good to use all the fabulous outboard compressors on the mix – Neve’s, API’s, Urei’s, DBX’s, LA2A and the Pultec to fatten up the vocal. Even an old SPX90 snare plate added to the vibe – good old school ‘seat of your pants’ mixing the way it used to always be.
