Our In-House engineer Murray Dilger was in the studio recently, playing and recording drums for a few of his personal clients. He recorded our house kit which is a Mapex Black Panther. The drums sounded great in the room being captured by AKG C451’s as overheads. The kick mics were a Fetu47 and a D112. Snare mics were a trusty SM57 and a MD441. Rack and floor toms where captured with our vintage AKG C414’s and high hat was recored with an old school SM7b.
