September 2021 we have just capped it off with the purchase of a matched pair of Original Vintage AKG C414’s – the perfect Overheads
With the long awaited arrival of our vintage Neumann U67 we got to try all the rest of our vintage 60s mics. The original 1960’s AKG D12 on Kick and D202 , D19 Snare combo and they sound great. The Neumann KM84, Shure SM57, AKG C451 and Sennheiser MD421 all originated in the 1960s just like the Ringo kit. There’s also the 1961 ‘Beatles’ pair of Rezlo’s famously photographed with the boys signing into them at The Cavern.
