Microphone Shootout

Just before lockdown June 2021 Andrew Beck, Marshall Cullen and Jason Stenning had a very enjoyable day doing a vocal microphone shootout. Something we had been meaning to do for ages, but once that U67 was placed in the Mic Locker it seemed the perfect time – here is part 1 below with Andrew Beck talking us through the day.

Finally, there was a voice-over soon after the shootout day, so we did much the same thing. Here is a good selection of what we use, but without a doubt, the U87’s are the most popular for voicing both male and female reads.
